Partnerships

Trax works through partnerships with other organisations. These may be funding agencies or foundations, both nationally and internationally, or other groups and organisations working in Ghana to achieve similar objectives to Trax.

Trax is a member of a number of networks and coalitions in Ghana:

  • Coalition for the Advancement of Organic Farming (CAOF)
  • Upper East CSO on Agriculture
  • Northern Ghana Network for Development (NGND)
  • Ghana Alliance for Agroecology and Food Sovereignty (GAAFS)
  • CSO Coalition on the Great Green Wall of the Sahara and the Sahel Initiative (GGWSSI)

Our project activities are currently generously supported by Trax Norway and the Kavli Foundation. This partnership is supporting the development of the Trax-Kavli Scholarship Farm, located in Kabusgo, Bongo District, Upper East Region. This project will see intensive farming of small ruminants which will be given to students to provide a scholarship for their secondary education.

In recent years Trax has partnered with several organisations and has been awarded project grants from a number of unding bodies. Recent project partners include:

  • Tools for Self Reliance
  • Best of Both, British School of Brussels
  • Self Help Africa
  • Tree Aid
  • Global Environment Facility Small Grants Programme

We are grateful to our many partners and individual donors who enable us to support rural farming communities.

Trax is facing a significant funding shortfall which means we are not able to operate at full capacity. As a result, we are not currently able to work with some of the farming communities which have requested supprt from Trax. If you are able to support the continuation of the work Trax does, please get in touch by contacting us as below. If you are interested in establishing a partnership with Trax or you are aware of any relevant funding opportunities, please contact Trax by e-mail at info@traxghana.com. Thank you.
